Why speed matters
A funeral often takes place within a week of the death.
So the invitation often needs to go out within a day. A card in the mail can arrive after the funeral; a video in the family chat reaches everyone the same day. You make it when it suits you: at the office, at home or together with the family.

What you need
Don't know something yet? Leave it blank and fill it in later. A photo is optional, and a crop from a group photo works too.
- The name as it should appear
- Date of birth and date of death
- Times and address of the visitation and the service
- A photo, if you'd like to use one
The difference
How the invitation often goes around today
And how it goes with one video you checked yourself.
Without a video
- A relative types a hurried message for the group chat late at night
- A time or address is slightly wrong, and that's what gets passed around
- Everyone forwards it a little differently
- People who hear by mail sometimes get the card after the funeral
- You get calls with questions that were answered long ago
With Funeral Invitations
- One video with the name, photo, times and address
- Dates and times always appear the same careful way
- The family shares it with one tap
- Everyone sees it the same day, well before the service
- You checked it before it goes out
With the family
This is how it arrives in the family chat
There's nothing to click and no app to install. The video plays right away, and the family forwards it with one tap.
- Plays right awayIt's a regular video. Grandma and Grandpa don't have to click anything.
- Small fileA separate small version for messaging, so it arrives quickly even on a slow connection.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is a funeral invitation video?
A short video of about half a minute. It shows the name and photo of the person who died, with the date, times and address of the visitation and the service, over a calm moving nature scene with soft music. The family shares it by text, email or Facebook instead of a typed message. Besides an invitation, you can also make a death announcement, a thank-you or an invitation to a memorial.
How is this different from a tribute video or a digital announcement card?
A tribute video is a long photo slideshow played during the service. A funeral invitation video is short, about half a minute, and is meant to announce a death or invite people. A digital card is usually a web page; this is a regular video that plays right away on a phone.
Can I just announce a death, without an invitation?
Yes. Choose the death announcement. It shows the name, photo and dates, without times or addresses.
Can I make a separate video just for the visitation?
Yes. For example when the service is private. Then only the visitation appears, not the service.
Does it need a photo?
No. A photo makes the video personal, but it's optional. An old photo or a crop from a group photo works too: you choose the part that shows.
How quickly can I have a video?
With the details at hand, in a few minutes. The video is made right in your browser, so you don't wait on anyone else.
